Sinestro was a former Green Lantern who became the archnemesis of Bruce Wayne. He killed Commissioner Gordon and stole the information about Bruce's parent's killer, Joe Chill. Upon finding Joe Chill, Sinestro used his power ring to absorb the man's mind. He empowered and corrupted the minds of Harvey Dent and Selina Kyle, and sent them out to kill Bruce, but they were defeated. Later, he also killed Alfred, and Bruce swore to pursue and capture him, leaving Earth in the hands of three new Green Lanterns, Kal-El, Barry Allen and Hippolyta.
