After she discovered the mystic and powerful Emerald Eye of Ekron, Sarya became the tryannical ruler of the planet Vengar (a.k.a. Venegar). She moved on to become a renowned criminal, ranked among the worst five in the United Planets, and was described as "The most wanted female criminal in the history of the universe, guilty of every crime from murder to space-piracy".
Despite this catalogue of despicable crimes, Superboy, on behalf of the Legion, sought her help when it needed help to prevent the Sun-Eater from destroying Earth's solar system. She agreed to help, and this event led to the founding of the new super-villain group, the Fatal Five, where Sarya joined Tharok, Mano, the Persuader and Validus.
The FF fought the Legion many times over the years - although they fought among themselves almost as much.
At one time, some years after Tharok had vanished into another dimension and was assumed dead, Sarya formed a new Fatal Five, including herself, the Persuader, Caress, Flare and Mentalla.
